What is a PEC?

PEC (Posta Elettronica Certificata) is Italy’s legally recognised certified email. Messages sent via PEC have legal value similar to registered post (raccomandata). Companies and freelancers often need a PEC for official notices; students sometimes need one for specific applications or company setup.
